Mine is not. Trump increased his Contra Costa County vote share in 2024 by 3% over 2020 and we supported tough-on-crime Prop 36 more than most, but party registration hasn't budged since 2019 and Democrats continued to dominate local races. The final tallies show Trump improved in 45 of 58 California counties over 2020, but mostly because Kamala won 1.8M fewer votes than Biden, not because we all went MAGA. If you like school bonds, increased minimum wage, and the Constitutional Right to Marriage, this is still the place for you. ☑️
